“U of D does have a laptop and software bundle, but the laptop is not really strong enough… Due to the required software, I essentially need a gaming laptop to manage the size of the software.”
As Winslow explained, the laptop offered through their university wasn't powerful enough for the workload architecture students face. Instead, some students choose to invest in a higher-performance computer better suited to running demanding design applications. While others choose the more cost-effective option of adding extra ram and storage to the provided laptop, but still end up struggling with file storage.
